This is the final week of the 2009-2010 school year. Time has gone by quickly this year. With the last day on Friday, take a minute to reflect on your school year this year. Cherish the memories, good and bad as they are a part of you in this journey called life.

To my 8th Graders I wish you the best of luck as you depart the middle school heading off to high school in the fall. It has been an amazing 3 years that I have had the pleasure of spending with you. I will hold on to the memories of our adventures for many years to come. Don’t worry if I caught you on video or with a picture, you will live on forever in my future classes!

My last nuggets of wisdom I will leave you with as you depart is this:

  • Attitude is everything. Failure and success share something in common. They both are attained by one’s attitude. If you have the right attitude, you can accomplish great things. Take care to make sure your attitude is a positive one that will help you achieve great success in your future (high school, college, and beyond).
  • Never settle for anything less than your best. We’ve all heard this before, but it is very true. Never settle for anything less than the best you want to achieve! If you don’t like the results of something you are seeing, do something to change them, but never be content with anything less than your personal best!

I personally believe that these ideas are key to building a successful future for yourself. Good luck and keep in touch!

Well here we are – the final two weeks of school.  We still have quite a bit on our agenda.   The most important announcement I have is that all missing work is due June 9, 2010 – NO EXCEPTIONS!  After June 9 I will not accept any missing work.  Please plan accordingly.

Second – I will not be in class on Friday.  I will be with the 8th grade class at High Meadows.  Mrs. Zawodniak will be your sub.  I am expecting your best behavior on Friday.
